Be sure to read the entire Event Details page in addition to this FAQ to make sure you have all the necessary info about the First Run 5K/10K!

The roads are NOT closed for this race. We have police and race marshals at all corners, but please be aware of traffic on the course. We put a lane of cones for the runners in high-traffic areas. Please stay within the cones for your own safety.
As this is a loop course with plenty of free parking near the Start/Finish, there will be no bag check. Many runners leave a bag of cry clothes in the registration hall.
We’re sorry, but there are no refunds, transfers, or deferrals.
In the unlikely event that the race isn’t sold out, you can still register at packet pickup on the morning of the race. Please arrive by 9:00 a.m.
Your safety and the safety of our wonderful volunteers and police are always top priority. Should the police indicate that conditions are not safe on the roads due to weather, we’ll cancel or postpone the race.
Yes, you may elect to drop down from the 10K, but there will be no rebate for the price difference, unfortunately. Email linda@locorunning.com to switch races!
We love dogs, but sorry, for everyone’s safety, please leave them at home. This policy applies to all pets, including cats, geckos, goldfish, alligators, yaks, yetis, parrots, and pigs.
So that you can hear traffic, and race marshals and for safety reasons, we strongly discourage the use of headphones on the course.
Yes, but please start in the back of the pack as a courtesy to the other runners.
